Victorian’s Digital Jobs Program offers last tranche of Digital Interns
The Victorian Digital Jobs Program, an initiative run by Victoria’s State Government lists April and the end of June, as the final release of Digital Interns for business.
The program launched in 2021 and has undertaken several iterations over the years, particularly, as the pace of change in Digital specialties continues to accelerate.
Through the Digital Jobs Program, employers can access an Intern who is mid career in their career journey but new and interested in a shift to a digital role.
Short courses are conducted over 13 weeks with employers then employing an intern funded by the State Government, for a further 13 weeks, giving employers the opportunity to trial an intern in their tech, IT or digital teams.
Key specialties include:
- Artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning
- Cloud computing
- Customer relationship management (CRM)
- Cyber security
- Data analytics
- Digital marketing
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP)
- IT operations and support
- Product management
- Programming / software development
- Project management (agile)
- User experience / user interface (UX/UI) and
- Web development.

The program may extend but interns are released to employers on a first come, first served basis.
