GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Join a leading retail organisation as their new P&C Manager!

Harvest Talent Recruitment is proud to partner with an established retailer and trusted brand who has added further stores to its portfolio and one that sits under a major national retail group. We are seeking a People & Culture Manager to take the company on the journey of cultivating a workplace environment that fosters inclusivity, innovation, and employee empowerment.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager, with a link to the People & Culture Business Partner Retail Lead, the People and Culture Manager will engage in various facets of the human resources function including integration, systems optimisation, award interpretation, compliance and employee relations. This busy role will work autonomously for Geelong and Western Victoria however will lean on a larger organisation for compliance, employee relations, payroll and safety.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Aligning newly integrated businesses and embedding shared values and cultures with stores and team members.
  • Culture development and engagement.
  • Working with the broader P&C function on organisation wide people initiatives.
  • Partnering with the wider P&C team to ensure alignment of the people strategy & people programs of work.
  • Employee lifecycle management.
  • Providing accurate and up to date P&C support and guidance.
  • Ensuring staff adhere to safety policies and procedures, assist in injury management.
  • Maintaining a strong knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

Working across 8 different sites in regional Victoria you will be values driven and bring a strong people centric and collaborative approach to your role. Highly organised and able to work autonomously, you will also possess the following:

  • People focused and energetic.
  • Experience working within a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels
  • Ability to travel to various retail sites frequently.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
