Regional General Manager/CEO – Finance (open to industry transition) – Salary Circa $300K

This individual has managed businesses running at $200m revenue comprising 150 staff and servicing over 40,000 clients. He brings a strong sense of strategy and could build a strategic plan and has the financial acumen to bring a plan into being. While his career has been focused in banking and finance, he brings a strong appreciation of the business landscape of Victoria’s South West and a desire to impact the region at an executive level.

This General Manager commenced his career in technical/quality roles in industrial settings and built capability around ensuring QA and Safety compliance for his organisation. He honed his management skills as Geelong Manager for an Accreditation Body, developing business opportunities and managing a team of Quality, Safety and Environmental Consultants and Auditors. Since 2012 he has held General Management roles of manufacturing organisations reporting directly to the board with responsibility for Sales & Export, Operations, Engineering/Maintenance, Logistics, HR, QHSE and Finance functions. This CEO stems from the aged, disability and community sector holding regional management (community care) and retirement living management roles which gave her a strong understanding of funded environments and a prowess for corporate and operational governance. As with many IT specialists, this candidate brings a vast skills, competency and qualification base to keep up with new systems, networks and technologies. His first opportunity came in 1998 as Systems Analyst for a major department store and, since this time, he has continued to forge his capabilities in IT holding the role Business Systems Intelligence manager administering the BI system but being a fundamental conduit for sales and profit reporting, strategic plan analysis, NPV analysis and forecasting. Now as Head of ICT he manages the Business Intelligence Manager, two Project Managers and the Information Systems Manager and 10 indirect staff. As a Chartered Accountant and MAICD, this candidate gained her pedigree with Australia’s leading accounting and management advisory organisations. With one of Australia’s major telecommunications and ISP companies, she honed her finance capabilities in-house responsible for business planning and forecasting, financial and operational target setting, establishment of KPIs, Executive and Board reporting, productivity initiatives and programs, workforce management, investment evaluation, business analytics, procurement & logistics. Over the last five years she has headed up commercial finance teams that have been tasked with providing strategic and commercial finance and business improvement services across earnings, cash flow, pricing and investment performance.

This candidate has shown himself continuously capable of overachieving sales targets for his organisation. Having worked in the hospitality and FMCG market his entire career, his networks are sound and his ability to build new relationships which convert to significant deals is second to none. He can capably oversee sales managers and sales teams (geographic or category) to deliver sales budgets. He has significant achievements including winning accounts worth more than $25million per annum and managing key account relationships.
