As of 31 October 2019 the State Government of Victoria rolled out the Labour Hire Scheme.

As a host employer organisations now are required to only use agencies who have a labour hire license (or who applied for a licence prior to 31 October 2019 and who have not been refused a license) or penalties apply. It is important for all organisations who use contract workers to be aware of the scheme and your obligations as a host employer.

Harvest Human Resources Pty Ltd including our recruitment divisions – Harvest Talent Recruitment and Harvest Industrial – was granted license

VICLHL01274 and is licensed under the Labour Hire Authority to provide labour hire services.

If your current provider did not apply for a license or is not registered under the scheme it is important to have your workers housed by a recruitment firm that has this license.

Director of Harvest Human Resources, Maree Herath comments “I’ve done a brief search of the recruitment agencies and labour hire firms in our region and found only a minority have had this license granted.”

Do your due diligence and ask your contracted agency for their Labour Hire License and ensure you comply with the Labour Hire Licensing Act October 2018.

Maree Herath, Director
