Our client a leading provider of waste management in Victoria is currently looking for an HR coordinator to join their growing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family business that has been successfully operating in Geelong for over 30 years. This role will be a mixture of all HR facets with a key responsibility with managing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the end-to-end people experience for the team, including recruitment, onboarding, culture, performance, learning and development, HR programs and HRIS administration
- Help coordinate the recruitment process, including booking interviews and screening candidates, reference checking, and managing the talent pool candidates
- Interpreting and applying people policies and ensuring these are understood and followed, as well as contributing to the development of future operational procedures
- Onboarding and staff induction on HR policies and procedures
- Performance management activities in conjunction with the Supervisors
- The Return-to-Work function
- A review of the remuneration and benefits in accordance with the appropriate award and industry standards
- The staff wellbeing function
- Exit interviews and report periodically on themes
- An oversight role, ensuring employee files and metrics are maintained
Skills & Experience:
- A qualification in Business Administration (HR) or other relevant degree
- Previous experience developing and implementing an In-house recruitment model
- Knowledge of human resources organisational policies and practices
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A strong work ethic and high levels of initiative, enthusiasm, honesty, loyalty and reliability
- Relevant work experience
- Demonstrated skills using Excel /spreadsheets
- Strong Microsoft suite skills Word, PowerPoint
