Just as Avalon Airport was really kicking goals, along came COVID, bringing the aviation industry to a halt.
When surveying the Warehouse, Logistics and Transport industry as part of the Geelong HR Index, of greatest priority to this sector is Analysing Strategy with 80% of respondents focussing their attention here. Some players in the transport sector (especially passenger) will experience amazing change. The key will be to continue to stay up to date with continual changes to restrictions.
The majority of employers (60%) also seek to Address Capabilities and the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of Workers.
Other initiatives that are on the table (40%) are Organisation Design, Addressing HR Capabilities and Flexible Working Arrangements.
